Martin Awarded 'Gary Knollinger Memorial Golden

Pittsburgh, PA (January 29,
2012) Just over a year ago the FASTRAK
Northeast lost a fierce competitor and a great friend when
Gary Knollinger tragically lost his life in an automobile
accident.
Those of us that knew him and the
drivers that had the pleasure of racing with him vowed to
never forget him and with the help of his family and
friends, the Inaugural “Gary Knollinger Memorial took place
at Sharon Speedway on June 25.
The event again will be held this season at
Sharon
on June 23.
Gary
truly represented what we believe FASTRAK is all about; a
grass roots racer giving his all each and every night, lap
after lap, traveling hundreds of miles throughout the summer
just to race.

But beyond that,
Gary
was a true gentleman both on and off the racetrack.
Always smiling, willing to lend a hand at anytime to
his fellow competitors, and just simply happy to race with
what the FASTRAK Northeast Touring Series has become, to all
of us, a second family.
This year we have created a special
award The Gary Knollinger “Golden Award” that will given
annually at our awards banquet to a driver that we feel
represents himself in the way that we will always remember
Gary.
The initial recipient of this award
carries himself in a very similar fashion as Gary did...He’s
a fierce competitor, finances his operation pretty much on
his own, has the strong support of his family, but more
importantly, and to his credit, no matter what situation has
presented itself to him on the racetrack, he has always
handled himself with class and integrity.

2011 Season with Six Wins! |

Ringgold, PA (November 11, 2011)
24 year old Fastrak Crate Late Model standout Joe Martin of
Ringgold, PA closed out his third year behind the wheel of
his JM2 Motorsports, Specialty Rental Tools & Supply, Martin
Farms, Juart Exploration Inc., Allegheny Crane Rental, Juart
Bros. Excavating, Neese Trucking, JNJ Motorsports Media
sponsored Faster Chassis a few weeks ago at Lernerville
Speedway in Sarver, PA with his 19th top five of the season.
Martin spent a majority of the 2011 season following the
Fastrak Northeast Tour for 17 of the 19 total scheduled
events. If Joe wasn’t on
the road with the tour,

he spent most of his weekends at Sharon Speedway in
Hartford, OH or Dog Hollow Speedway in Strongstown, PA.
Despite missing two Fastrak Northeast tour events,
Martin was able to place sixth in points while picking up
one win with the series at Dog Hollow Speedway on July 26.

Winning Ways at Tri-City and Dog Hollow

Motorsports and third year driver Joe Martin of Ringgold, PA
captured his fourth and fifth wins of the 2011 season on
Friday, June 10 at Tri-City Speedway in Franklin, PA and on
Friday, June 17 at Strongstown, PA’s Dog Hollow Speedway.
June has been
a busy month for Martin as he’s competed in three different
states and five different tracks while chasing weekly
Fastrak points and Fastrak Northeast Touring Series points.
Joe currently sits third in Fastrak Northeast points
behind Fastrak standouts Max Blair and Mike Pegher Jr. after
a seventh place finish at Tyler County Speedway in
Middlebourne, WV on Saturday, June 11 and a 15th place
finish at McKean County Speedway in Smethport, PA on
